Dr. Helin Hocaoglu is a biomedical scientist specializing in cancer biology, stem cell metabolism, and computational biology. Her career began at MIT, studying intestinal stem cells and developing mouse models of colon cancer metastasis. As a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley, she conducts high-throughput drug and CRISPR-based genomic screens using 3D organoids to identify targetable pathways and develop new cancer treatments.

She analyzes complex datasets using computational skills developed during her PhD at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she studied the role of metabolism in tissue development. Her approach combines experimental and computational biology to uncover mechanisms of metabolic diseases and cancer.
